2007 was the last time Atha played in the King of Cornhole championship. Atha was eliminated in the semifinals in 2008 by Steve Vanderver. This season (2009) he was done in by Matt Guy.
It was no surprise to see Atha changing gears towards the end of his match against Guy. In the midst of defeat, Atha decided to have some fun. He sunk four airmails in the next to last frame in the loss. Matt Guy may have won the match, but it was Atha who stole the show.
