“As a Certified Official, I am very proud to have helped bring ACO Major #3 to the State of Kentucky. As cornhole goes, I believe Kentucky is the cream of the crop and it will be nice for our State to host one of the most important points tournaments in Season IX,” says ACO Certified Official Russell Tabers of West Kentucky Cornhole.
In a series of seven total majors running across the country, this will be the third ACO major for Season IX. Players will come from 9-15 states to try to earn as many world ranking points as possible.
Frank Geers, American Cornhole president, stated that KY is home to Bret Guy, the ACO Reigning King of Cornhole, as well his father Matt Guy, five time ACO King, and Eric Zocklein, King of Cornhole VI. “It is amazing to think that the ACO has run eight King of Cornhole events over the years at the ACO World Championships of Cornhole and seven of the eight crowned ACO Kings have come from the state of Kentucky. The event will feature numerous other World Class cornhole players from all around the country but these three guys are champions past and present worth coming out to watch,” states Frank Geers. “If you’ve never seen professional cornhole, now is your chance. We think you’ll be surprised at how entertaining watching a few of these great matches can be.”
The event is free and open to the public. There are local, regional and national opportunities to become a sponsor with the ACO.
