American Cornhole Organization will host the ACO Spooky Nook Pro Series Skins Major cornhole tournament Friday, Oct. 2, and Saturday, Oct. 3, at Spooky Nook Sports Champion Mill.

The major ACO Pro Series Skins tournament will include play by eight ACO Kings (world champions), both current and former, the first time this has happened in the ACO’s 22-season history. Two of those Kings are a father and son from Kentucky who together hold 10 world championships.

The weekend will offer free admission for spectators and anyone who wants to learn about the ACO and its culture. There will also be open blind-draw tournaments that the public can enter.

“This is one of the largest events of its kind in the nation and is hosted as part of the 22nd season for Cincinnati based American Cornhole Organization,” ACO spokesman Michael Walter told the Journal-News.

The tournament will feature some of the top talent in the world who will compete in all major divisions; Juniors, Women’s, Seniors, Co-Ed, World Doubles, World Singles and more. It also will feature an additional $5,000 purse Pro Series Skins bracket of 16, a tournament that pits the top 16 Pro qualifiers against one another in a series of 13 frame-limited competitions where prize money rests on every single frame until a final Pro Series Skins champion is determined.

“We not only expect to be treated to top-tier play by eight ACO Kings from all over the country, we are looking forward to welcoming players from more than 15 states to Spooky Nook in what has become a marquee event on our calendar each year,” ACO founder and President Frank Geers said in a release. “The Spooky Nook complex team has been a great partner, providing not only one of the top facilities in the world but also access to an amazing, convenient hotel and proximity to a downtown social scene that welcomes our players, families and friends with countless entertainment, dining and gathering options.”

ACO has governed the sport of cornhole since 2005. The tournament is one of 40 plus ACO Majors held nationwide; all leading to Season 22 ACO World Championships in July 2027 in Medford, Oregon, where ACO will crown a new King, or its first ever Queen of Cornhole Singles World Champion.
